आचार्य-धर्मलक्षण-श्रद्धाभक्तिप्राधान्यं तथा लिङ्गे ध्यान-पूजाविधानसंकेतः

Adhyaya 10

अहिंसा सर्वतः शान्तिस् तप इत्यभिधीयते आत्मवत् सर्वभूतेषु यो हितायाहिताय च

ahiṃsā sarvataḥ śāntis tapa ityabhidhīyate ātmavat sarvabhūteṣu yo hitāyāhitāya ca

അഹിംസ തന്നെയാണ് എല്ലായിടത്തും ശാന്തി; അതേ തപസ്സെന്ന് പ്രസ്താവിക്കുന്നു. എല്ലാ ജീവികളെയും ആത്മസമമായി കണ്ട് അവരുടെ ഹിതത്തിനായി പ്രവർത്തിച്ച് അഹിതം ഒഴിവാക്കുന്നവൻ ആ തപസ്സിന്റെ മൂർത്തിയാണ്.
