FAQs

It presents the Paramātman as the transcendent governor whose ājñā (ordinance) is the sustaining principle behind creation—universes arise with their constituents yet remain ruled by the Supreme Self’s command.

No specific technique is named; the verse supports a Yoga-śāstra foundation: meditation on Īśvara/Paramātman as the supreme ruler (niyantṛ) and aligning one’s will with divine ājñā—an essential orientation for Pāśupata-influenced discipline and dharmic conduct.

By centering the teaching on the single Paramātman whose command governs all worlds, it fits the Kurma Purana’s synthesizing stance where sectarian names resolve into one supreme reality (Īśvara) beyond limited distinction.
