हीमवानुवाच का त्वं देवि विशालाक्षि शशाङ्कावयवाङ्किते / न जाने त्वामहं वत्से यथावद् ब्रूहि पृच्छते

ഹിമവാൻ പറഞ്ഞു—ഹേ വിശാലനേത്രിയായ ദേവീ, ചന്ദ്രചിഹ്നം ധരിച്ചവളേ! വത്സേ, ഞാൻ നിന്നെ അറിയുന്നില്ല; ഞാൻ ചോദിക്കുന്നതു യഥാവിധി പറയുക.
