Dakṣa’s Daughters, Cosmic Lineages, and the Population of the Three Worlds

विभावसोरसूतोषा व्युष्टं रोचिषमातपम् । पञ्चयामोऽथ भूतानि येन जाग्रति कर्मसु ॥ १६ ॥

vibhāvasor asūtoṣā vyuṣṭaṁ rociṣam ātapam pañcayāmo ’tha bhūtāni yena jāgrati karmasu

വിഭാവസുവിന്റെ ഭാര്യയായ ഊഷാ വ്യുഷ്ടൻ, രോചിഷൻ, ആതപൻ എന്ന മൂന്ന് പുത്രന്മാരെ പ്രസവിച്ചു. ആതപനിൽ നിന്ന് പഞ്ചയാമം (ദിവസപ്രഹരം) ജനിച്ചു; അത് സർവ്വജീവികളെയും കർമ്മങ്ങളിൽ ജാഗ്രതപ്പെടുത്തുന്നു.
