Dakṣa’s Daughters, Cosmic Lineages, and the Population of the Three Worlds
वास्तोराङ्गिरसीपुत्रो विश्वकर्माकृतीपति: । ततो मनुश्चाक्षुषोऽभूद् विश्वे साध्या मनो: सुता: ॥ १५ ॥
vāstor āṅgirasī-putro viśvakarmākṛtī-patiḥ tato manuś cākṣuṣo ’bhūd viśve sādhyā manoḥ sutāḥ
വസുവായ ‘വാസ്തു’യുടെ ഭാര്യ ആംഗിരസിയിൽ നിന്ന് മഹാശില്പി വിശ്വകർമ്മ ജനിച്ചു. വിശ്വകർമ്മ ആകൃതിയുടെ ഭർത്താവായി; അവരിൽ നിന്ന് ചാക്ഷുഷ മനു ജനിച്ചു. മനുവിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാർ ‘വിശ്വേദേവ’കളും ‘സാധ്യ’കളും എന്ന പേരിൽ പ്രസിദ്ധരായി.
