Citraketu Offends Śiva, Is Cursed by Pārvatī, and Is Glorified as a Vaiṣṇava
एकदा स विमानेन विष्णुदत्तेन भास्वता । गिरिशं ददृशे गच्छन् परीतं सिद्धचारणै: ॥ ४ ॥ आलिङ्गयाङ्कीकृतां देवीं बाहुना मुनिसंसदि । उवाच देव्या: शृण्वन्त्या जहासोच्चैस्तदन्तिके ॥ ५ ॥
ekadā sa vimānena viṣṇu-dattena bhāsvatā giriśaṁ dadṛśe gacchan parītaṁ siddha-cāraṇaiḥ
ഒരു സമയം ചിത്രകേതു വിഷ്ണു നൽകിയ ദീപ്തിമാനമായ വിമാനത്തിൽ ആകാശമാർഗ്ഗം സഞ്ചരിക്കുമ്പോൾ, സിദ്ധ-ചാരണന്മാർ ചുറ്റിപ്പറ്റിയ ഗിരീശനായ ശിവനെ കണ്ടു. ശിവൻ മുനിസഭയിൽ പാർവതീദേവിയെ മടിയിൽ ഇരുത്തി ഭുജംകൊണ്ട് ആലിംഗനം ചെയ്ത് ഇരിക്കുകയായിരുന്നു. പാർവതി കേൾക്കേ, ചിത്രകേതു അടുത്ത് ഉച്ചത്തിൽ ചിരിച്ച് സംസാരിച്ചു।
