वृत्रमभ्यद्रवच्छत्रुमसुरानीकयूथपै: । पर्यस्तमोजसा राजन् क्रुद्धो रुद्र इवान्तकम् ॥ १५ ॥

vṛtram abhyadravac chatrum asurānīka-yūthapaiḥ paryastam ojasā rājan kruddho rudra ivāntakam

Translation

പ്രിയ രാജാ പരീക്ഷിത്! ക്രുദ്ധനായ രുദ്രൻ ഒരിക്കൽ അന്തകനെ (യമരാജനെ) വധിക്കുവാൻ പാഞ്ഞതുപോലെ, ഇന്ദ്രനും മഹാബലത്തോടെ അസുരസേനാനായകരാൽ ചുറ്റപ്പെട്ട ശത്രു വൃത്രാസുരനെ ആക്രമിച്ചു.
