Ambikā-vana Śiva-pūjā; Nanda Saved from the Serpent; Śaṅkhacūḍa Slain
तमन्वधावद् गोविन्दो यत्र यत्र स धावति । जिहीर्षुस्तच्छिरोरत्नं तस्थौ रक्षन् स्त्रियो बल: ॥ ३० ॥
tam anvadhāvad govindo yatra yatra sa dhāvati jihīrṣus tac-chiro-ratnaṁ tasthau rakṣan striyo balaḥ
ആ ദൈത്യൻ എവിടെയെവിടെ ഓടിയാലും അവിടെയവിടെ ഗോവിന്ദൻ അവനെ പിന്തുടർന്നു, അവന്റെ ശിരോരത്നം കൈക്കൊള്ളാൻ ആഗ്രഹിച്ച്. സ്ത്രീകളെ കാക്കാൻ ബലരാമൻ അവിടെ തന്നെ നിന്നു.
Śrīla Viśvanātha Cakravartī explains that the women were fatigued from being driven away, and thus Lord Balarāma protected them and consoled them as they rested. Meanwhile Lord Kṛṣṇa went after the demon.
This verse shows Govinda pursuing the threat while simultaneously standing to protect the women, illustrating that Kṛṣṇa safeguards His devotees even amid conflict.
The verse indicates Kṛṣṇa pursued the fleeing adversary and sought to take the head-jewel, while ensuring the gopīs were protected—showing both justice and protection within His līlā.
A devotee can remember that divine protection includes both removing dangers and giving inner steadiness—so one should stay faithful, act responsibly, and take shelter of Kṛṣṇa in crises.
