स वीक्ष्य तावनुप्राप्तौ कालमृत्यू इवोद्विजन् । विषृज्य स्त्रीजनं मूढ: प्राद्रवज्जीवितेच्छया ॥ २९ ॥

Transliteration

sa vīkṣya tāv anuprāptau kāla-mṛtyū ivodvijan viṣṛjya strī-janaṁ mūḍhaḥ prādravaj jīvitecchayā

Translation

ശങ്കചൂഡൻ ആ രണ്ടുപേരും കാലവും മരണവും പോലെ തന്റെ നേരെ വരുന്നതു കണ്ടപ്പോൾ അവൻ ഭയവിഹ്വലനായി. മൂഢനായി സ്ത്രീകളെ ഉപേക്ഷിച്ച് ജീവൻ രക്ഷിക്കാനുള്ള ആഗ്രഹത്തോടെ ഓടി രക്ഷപ്പെട്ടു.
