Sukta 139
यथोदकमपपुषोऽपशुष्यत्यास्यऽम्। एवा नि शुष्य मां कामेनाथो शुष्कास्या चर
yáthodakám apapuṣó ’pa śúṣyaty āsyàm | evā́ ní śuṣya mā́m kāména átho śúṣkāsyā cara
As water dries away from one swollen with dropsy, so in like wise dry up wholly for me with longing; and, dry-mouthed, come thou and obey thy course toward me.
ജലോദരം (ഉദകരോഗം) ബാധിച്ച് വീർന്നവനിൽ നിന്നു വെള്ളം ഉണങ്ങി ഇറങ്ങുന്നതുപോലെ, അതുപോലെ തന്നെ കാമത്താൽ എന്റെ വേണ്ടി നീ പൂർണ്ണമായി ഉണങ്ങിപ്പോക; പിന്നെ വായ് വരണ്ടവളായി എന്റെ അടുക്കൽ വന്ന്, എന്റെ വശത്തിലായി നിന്റെ വഴിയെ അനുസരിക്ക.
