च॒न्द्रमा॑ अ॒प्स्व॑१न्तरा सु॑प॒र्णो धा॑वते दि॒वि। न वो॑ हिरण्यनेमयः प॒दं वि॑न्दन्ति विद्युतो वि॒त्तं मे॑ अ॒स्य रो॑दसी

IAST Transliteration

candramā́ apsv àntárā supárṇo dhā́vate diví | ná vo hiraṇya-némayaḥ padáṃ víndanti vidyúto vittáṃ mé asyá ródasī

English Translation (Griffith/Whitney)

The Moon, within the waters, the fair-winged, speedeth in the heaven. Your golden-rimmed lightnings find not the track: for me, of this, the two Worlds are the possession (and witness).

Translation

ചന്ദ്രൻ ജലങ്ങളിൽ അന്തർലീനനായി, സുപർണൻ (സുന്ദരചിറകുള്ളവൻ) ആയി, ആകാശത്തിൽ വേഗം സഞ്ചരിക്കുന്നു. ഹേ വിദ്യുതുകളേ, നിങ്ങളുടെ സ്വർണവലയമുള്ള മിന്നലുകൾ പാത കണ്ടെത്തുന്നില്ല; ഇതിൽ എനിക്ക് ഈ രണ്ടു ലോകങ്ങൾ—ദ്യൗയും പൃഥ്വിയും—സ്വത്തും (സാക്ഷിയും) ആകുന്നു.
