Sukta 4
शतधारं वायुमर्कं स्वर्विदं नृचक्षसस्ते अभि चक्षते रयिम्। ये पृणन्ति प्र च यच्छन्ति सर्वदा ते दुह्रते दक्षिणां सप्तमातरम्
śatádhāraṃ vāyúm arkáṃ svarvídaṃ nṛcákṣasas te abhí cakṣate rayím | yé pṛṇánti prá ca yáchanti sarvadā́ té duhrate dákṣiṇāṃ saptá-mātaram |
The hundred-streaming Wind, the Sun, heaven-winning, man-beholding—these look with favor upon wealth. They who fill and who bestow, evermore—these milk forth the priestly meed, the seven-mothered.
ശതധാരനായ വായു, അർക്കൻ (സൂര്യൻ), സ്വർവിദ് (സ്വർഗ്ഗം ജയിപ്പിക്കുന്നവൻ), നൃചക്ഷസ് (മനുഷ്യരെ കാണുന്നവൻ)—ഇവർ ധനത്തിൽ അനുഗ്രഹദൃഷ്ടി ചെലുത്തുന്നു. യാർ നിറയ്ക്കുന്നു, യാർ ദാനം ചെയ്യുന്നു, എപ്പോഴും—അവർ തന്നെയാണ് ദക്ഷിണയെ (യജ്ഞപ്രതിഫലം), ഏഴുമാതാക്കളുള്ള (സപ്തമാതൃക) അവളെ, ദോഹിക്കുന്നത്.
