Sukta 3
त्रीणि॑ प॒दानि॑ रु॒पो अन्व॑रोह॒च्चतु॑ष्पदी॒मन्वैतद् व्र॒तेन॑ । अ॒क्षरे॑ण॒ प्रति॑ मिमीते अ॒र्कमृ॒तस्य॒ नाभा॑व॒भि सं पु॑नाति
trī́ṇi padā́ni rupó ánv arohac cátuṣpadīm ánvaitád vraténa | ákṣareṇa práti mimīte arkám ṛtásya nā́bhāv abhí sáṃ punāti
Three steps the Form ascended, following after; the four-footed measure followed this by holy ordinance. With the imperishable syllable he metes the chant in counterpoise; upon the navel of Order he wholly makes purification.
രൂപം മൂന്ന് പാദങ്ങൾ കയറി, പിന്നാലെ അനുഗമിച്ചു; ചതുഷ്പദിയായ അളവും വ്രതം (പവിത്രനിയമം) കൊണ്ട് ഇതിനെ അനുഗമിച്ചു. അക്ഷരം (അവിനാശി അക്ഷരം) കൊണ്ട് അവൻ അർക്കം/സ്തുതിയെ പ്രതിമാപമായി അളക്കുന്നു; ഋത (ഋത-ക്രമം)യുടെ നാഭിയിൽ പൂർണ്ണമായി ശുദ്ധീകരിക്കുന്നു.
