Atharva Veda 18.2.34: Kanda 18, Anuvaka 1, Sukta 2, Mantra 34

Sukta 2

ये निखा॑ता॒ ये परो॑प्ता॒ ये द॒ग्धा ये चोद्धि॑ताः । सर्वां॒स्तान॑ग्न॒ आ व॑ह पि॒तॄन् ह॒विषे॒ अत्त॑वे

yé nikhā́tā yé paróptā yé dagdhā́ yé cód(d)hitā́ḥ | sárvāṁs tā́n agná ā́ vaha pitṝ́n havíṣe áttave ||

Whoso are buried, whoso are laid away afar, whoso are burnt, and whoso are taken up again,—all those, O Agni, bring thou hither: the Fathers, to partake of the oblation, to eat thereof.

ആർ അടക്കംചെയ്യപ്പെട്ടവരോ, ആർ ദൂരെയാക്കി വെച്ചവരോ, ആർ ദഹിപ്പിക്കപ്പെട്ടവരോ, ആർ വീണ്ടും എടുത്തുയർത്തപ്പെട്ടവരോ—അവരെല്ലാം, ഹേ അഗ്നേ, ഇവിടെ കൊണ്ടുവരിക; പിതൃകളെ ഹവിഷ് ഭുജിക്കുവാൻ, അതു ഭക്ഷിക്കുവാൻ.
