Sukta 3
यद्य॑ज्जा॒या पच॑ति॒ त्वत् प॒रःप॑रः॒ पति॑र्वा जाये॒ त्वत् ति॒रः । सं तत् सृ॑जेथां स॒ह वां॒ तद॑स्तु संपा॒दय॑न्तौ स॒ह लो॒मेक॑म्
yád-yaj jāyā́ pácati tvát paráḥ-paraḥ pátir vā jāye tvát tiráḥ | sáṃ tát sṛ́jethāṃ sahá vāṃ tád astu saṃpādayántau sahá lomékam
Whatsoever the Wife doth cook, let not the Husband go still farther off from thee, O Wife, nor pass beyond thee. Set ye that matter straight together—so be it for you twain—accomplishing it in concord, not differing by so much as a single hair.
ഹേ ഭാര്യേ, നീ എന്ത് പാകം ചെയ്താലും നിന്റെ ഭർത്താവ് നിന്നിൽ നിന്ന് കൂടുതൽ അകലെ പോകാതിരിക്കട്ടെ; നിന്നെ മറികടന്ന് കടന്നുപോകാതിരിക്കട്ടെ. നിങ്ങൾ ഇരുവരും ചേർന്ന് ആ കാര്യം ശരിയായി ക്രമപ്പെടുത്തുക—നിങ്ങൾക്കു അങ്ങനെ തന്നെയാകട്ടെ—ഏകമനസ്സോടെ പൂർത്തിയാക്കുക; ഒരു രോമംത്രയും വ്യത്യാസം വരരുത്.
