समि॑न्धते॒ संक॑सुकं स्व॒स्तये॑ शु॒द्धा भव॑न्तः॒ शुच॑यः पाव॒काः । जहा॑ति रि॒प्रमत्येन॑ एति॒ समि॑द्धो अ॒ग्निः सु॒पुना॑ पुनाति

IAST Transliteration

samíndhate saṅkásukaṃ svastáye śuddhā́ bhávantaḥ śúcayaḥ pāvakā́ḥ | jahā́ti rípram átyena eti samíddho agníḥ supúnā punāti ||

English Translation (Griffith/Whitney)

They kindle the saṅkasuka for welfare; becoming pure, the bright Pāvakas. He leaveth stain behind and passeth onward: Agni, when kindled, with good cleansing purifieth.

Translation

സ്വസ്തിക്കായി അവർ സംകസുകത്തെ ജ്വലിപ്പിക്കുന്നു; ശുദ്ധരായി, പ്രകാശമുള്ള പാവകർ. അവൻ മലിനതയെ പിന്നിൽ വിട്ട് മുന്നോട്ട് പോകുന്നു; ജ്വലിച്ച അഗ്നി നല്ല ശുദ്ധീകരണത്തോടെ ശുദ്ധമാക്കുന്നു.
