FAQs

It teaches the correct sequence for entering a ritual pavilion: first offer a general arghya, then worship the torana and door-presiding deities (dvara-devatas), and finally enter via the western doorway.

It preserves procedural liturgy and architectural-ritual integration (mandapa, torana, door deities, directional entry), showing how the Agni Purana functions as a practical manual alongside its theological narratives.

Honouring threshold deities and entering in a prescribed manner is treated as a purification of approach, removing obstacles at the doorway and aligning the worshipper with ritual order (niyama) before commencing the rite.
