Pavitrārohaṇa: Installing the Sanctifying Thread/Garland

पञ्चगव्यं पलाशादिपुटकं वै समन्ततः ऐशान्यां कुसुमं दद्यादाग्नेय्यां दिशि रोचनां

pañcagavyaṃ palāśādipuṭakaṃ vai samantataḥ aiśānyāṃ kusumaṃ dadyādāgneyyāṃ diśi rocanāṃ

പഞ്ചഗവ്യവും പലാശാദികളാൽ നിർമ്മിച്ച പുടകവും ചുറ്റുമെല്ലാം ക്രമമായി വിന്യസിക്കണം. ഈശാന (വടക്കുകിഴക്ക്) ദിക്കിൽ പുഷ്പങ്ങൾ വെക്കുകയും, ആഗ്നേയ (തെക്കുകിഴക്ക്) ദിക്കിൽ രോചന (മഞ്ഞ വർണ്ണകം) സ്ഥാപിക്കയും വേണം.
