Related Themes: Agni Purāṇa: Caturviṃśati-mūrti stotra continuation (neighboring verses listing further nāma-mūrtis)
It conveys stotra-vidhi through iconographic invocation—meditating on Vishnu by naming his emblems (cakra, śaṅkha, padma, gadā/Kaumodakī) as a focused method of devotional worship.
Alongside law, polity, medicine, and arts, the Agni Purana preserves practical liturgical material—stotras and deity-identification via attributes—supporting temple worship, mantra-style praise, and iconographic clarity.
Salutation to Govinda with concentrated remembrance of his divine emblems is presented as purifying devotion (bhakti) that steadies the mind and accrues religious merit through reverent praise.
