Vidya Category: {"primary_vidya":"Dharmashastra","secondary_vidya":"Stotra","practical_application":"Pṛthivī-stuti as expiatory/pacifying formula: reverencing Earth as sacred cow and sin-remover to seek śānti, especially before rites involving land, travel, or purification.","sutra_style":true}

Encyclopedic Reference: {"reference_type":"Description","entry_title":"Pṛthivī as Dhenu—Keśava-sannibhā, sarva-pāpa-harā","lookup_keywords":["Pṛthivī stuti","dhenu","Keśava-sannibhā","sarva-pāpa-hara","śānti"],"quick_summary":"Frames Earth as a cow-like, Viṣṇu-reflecting sacred support that removes sins. Practical takeaway: invoke Earth’s sanctity for purification and peace before actions that ‘touch’ or alter the ground."}

Alamkara Type: Upamā (Earth ‘like a cow’) and hetu-based prayer cadence

Concept: Earth is sacred and morally responsive; honoring her aligns action with purity and reduces pāpa through humility and reverence.

Application: Before digging, building, farming, or travel, offer a brief bhū-prārthanā seeking forgiveness and śānti (bhū-kṣamā/earth-pardon practice).

Khanda Section: Puja-vidhi / Prithivi-stuti and Shanti-prarthana (Earth as the sacred cow; expiatory-peace formula)

Primary Rasa: Shanta

Secondary Rasa: Bhakti

Type: Cosmic/World

Visual Art Cues: {"scene_description":"The Earth personified as a gentle cow or Bhū-devī, radiating purity, while a devotee prays for removal of sins and peace.","kerala_mural_prompt":"Kerala mural: Bhū-devī in green-gold tones with lotus, beside a sacred cow motif, Viṣṇu-like aura hinted, devotee offering flowers at the ground, temple-lamp ambience, bold outlines.","tanjore_prompt":"Tanjore: Bhū-devī seated with ornate gold halo, cow emblem at her side, gold-foiled ornaments, devotee in añjali, rich red background and decorative arch.","mysore_prompt":"Mysore: serene Bhū-devī with soft shading, clear cow symbolism, instructional composition showing bhūmi-prārthanā before a small ritual setup (kalasha, flowers).","mughal_miniature_prompt":"Mughal miniature: pastoral earth-as-cow allegory with a praying figure, detailed flora, gentle palette, fine linework, subtle gold highlights around the goddess."}

Audio Atmosphere: {"recitation_mood":"contemplative","suggested_raga":"Anandabhairavi","pace":"slow","voice_tone":"devotional"}

Sandhi Resolution Notes: यस्मात्त्वं = यस्मात् + त्वम्; नित्यमतः = नित्यम् + अतः.

FAQs

A śānti-prārthanā (peace-invocation) framed as a Pr̥thivī-stuti: the practitioner addresses Earth as a sin-removing, Viṣṇu-like nourishing power and requests pacification (śānti).

It exemplifies the Purana’s practical ritual layer—short, deployable prayer formulas used for purification and auspiciousness—alongside its broader coverage of doctrine, rites, and applied religious practice.

It treats Earth as a continual purifier (sarvapāpaharā), implying that reverent invocation and alignment with dharma bring expiation and inner/outer pacification (śānti).
