प्रेताय तत ऊर्धवं च तस्यैव पुरुषत्रये पिण्डान् विनिर्वपेत्तद्वच्चतुरस्तु समाहितः
pretāya tata ūrdhavaṃ ca tasyaiva puruṣatraye piṇḍān vinirvapettadvaccaturastu samāhitaḥ
അതിനുശേഷം പ്രേതത്തിനും, പിന്നെ ഊർധ്വമായ (ഉന്നത പിതൃസ്ഥിതികൾ)ക്കുമായി, അതേ മൂന്ന് ‘പുരുഷന്മാർ’ (മൂന്ന് പിതൃപുരുഷന്മാർ)ക്ക് വിധിപൂർവ്വം പിണ്ഡങ്ങൾ അർപ്പിക്കണം. അതുപോലെ സമാഹിതനായ കർത്താവ് നാല് പിണ്ഡങ്ങളും യഥാവിധി അർപ്പിക്കണം.
