ātmaputrāya te śaṃbho ātmadauhitrakāya te | ityukte viṣṇunā sarve sādhusādhviti te jaguḥ
Lomaharṣaṇa (Sūta), narrating; direct speech by Viṣṇu and response by the assembly
Scene: After Viṣṇu’s statement, the entire assembly raises hands in approval, voices united in ‘sādhu sādhu’; Śiva remains serene as auspiciousness returns to the rite.
Dharma is affirmed through communal consent and righteous intent, even in divine affairs.
This verse does not praise a particular tīrtha; it focuses on the wedding deliberation and approval.
It reflects the necessity of proper consent and dharmic framing for a marriage alliance.
