Lord Shiva (teaching Umā/Parvati in the Umāsaṃhitā discourse)
Tattva Level: pashu
Shiva Form: Dakṣiṇāmūrti
Shakti Form: Pārvatī
Role: teaching
It teaches that mantra-śakti and Vedic merit are sustained by inner integrity; without satya (truthfulness), sacred knowledge remains fruitless and cannot illumine the seeker on the Shaiva path toward liberation.
Linga-worship is not merely external ritual; it requires ethical purity. Truthfulness makes devotion and mantra-japa effective, allowing Saguna Shiva’s grace to be reflected clearly in the devotee’s life and consciousness.
Practice satya as a daily vrata alongside Shiva-upāsanā—especially steady mantra-japa (e.g., Panchākṣarī “Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) with truthful speech and honest conduct, so the mantra can ‘shine’ within.
