It highlights that true understanding and right speech arise when the intellect becomes calm and is oriented toward Śiva; remembrance (smaraṇa) of Pati, the Lord, purifies the mind before responding.
Though the Liṅga is not named here, the verse models Saguna devotion: Brahmā remembers Śiva as the personal Lord before speaking, reflecting the Purāṇic ideal of approaching Śiva with reverent recollection and devotion.
The implied practice is Śiva-smaraṇa—silent remembrance or japa of Śiva’s name (such as the Pañcākṣarī, “Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) to settle the mind before dialogue, study, or decision-making.
