सान्त्वेनानुप्रदानेन मानेन च यशस्विना।।।।लालिताः कपिराजेन प्राणांस्त्यक्ष्यन्ति वानराः।
sāntvenānupradānena mānena ca yaśasvinā |
lālitāḥ kapirājena prāṇāṃs tyakṣyanti vānarāḥ ||

"The vanaras who were reared by the king's kind words, gifts and care will give up their life.
Dharma is reciprocal: a righteous leader protects and honors his people, and the people respond with steadfast loyalty—so the messenger must protect that bond by completing the entrusted task.
Hanumān foresees that Sugrīva’s nurtured followers would lose the will to live if the mission ends in failure.
Loyal service to the common good—Hanumān’s duty is not private success but safeguarding the life and morale of the whole alliance.
