Sanatkumara (teaching Narada on the true fruit of tīrtha-yātrā)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: bhakti
It defines the “real” tīrtha-phala as an inner attainment: egolessness, restraint, simplicity, and disciplined living—not merely physical travel to holy places.
By removing ahaṃkāra and mastering the senses, the heart becomes fit for sincere devotion; pilgrimage becomes an offering rather than a display, supporting steady bhakti and humility.
No specific Vedāṅga (like Vyākaraṇa or Jyotiṣa) is taught in this verse; it emphasizes practical dhārmic discipline—moderate diet, sense-control, and non-restless conduct—as the operative “method” for gaining tīrtha merit.
