Secondary Rasa: bhayanaka
It teaches that true dharma is not merely ritual worship; compassion in action is essential. Neglecting urgent help to the suffering is treated as a grievous moral collapse, equated here with a mahāpātaka-like sin.
Bhakti to Hari is implied to include dayā (compassion) and seva (service). If one abandons human duty during another’s distress while claiming devotion, that “worship” is considered void and spiritually harmful.
No specific Vedanga (like Vyakarana, Jyotisha, or Kalpa) is taught directly; the verse emphasizes smṛti-based sadācāra (right conduct) and the ethical application of dharma alongside Hari-puja.
