Narrator (Purana narrator relaying the episode; dialogue line spoken by an unnamed male attendant/son figure within the story)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: karuna
It highlights dharma expressed as obedience to parental instruction (pitr-ājñā) and selfless service (śuśrūṣā), portraying righteous conduct as a lived practice within the sacred narrative setting.
While not explicitly naming Vishnu-bhakti, it models the bhakti-principle of sevā (service) and humility—qualities that Narada Purana repeatedly treats as foundational dispositions for devotional life.
The verse primarily teaches dharmic conduct rather than a Vedanga; practically, it reinforces śiṣṭācāra (normative right behavior) and disciplined adherence to instruction, which underlies proper ritual and vrata observance in Purāṇic practice.
