Sanatkumara (teaching Narada)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: none
It emphasizes disciplined discernment: before pronouncing any ‘phala’ (result), one must carefully assess conditions and time—reflecting a dharmic ethic of truthfulness and responsibility in counsel.
Indirectly, it supports bhakti by insisting that guidance be accurate and well-grounded; sound counsel helps devotees align actions (including vows and observances) with auspicious timing rather than superstition.
Vedāṅga Jyotiṣa: evaluating bala–abala (relative strengths) and graha-cāra (planetary transits) to determine and state outcomes (phala) correctly.
