Adhyaya 72 — The Reconciliation Rite, Sarasvati Sacrifice, and the Birth of Uttama Manu (Auttama Manvantara Prelude)
tañ ca saṃstūya bhūpālaṃ kalyāṇoktyā punaḥ punaḥ | uvāca madhuraṃ nāgī kṛtāsanaparigrahā ||
Auspicious, respectful speech (kalyāṇokti) and proper decorum frame consequential acts like granting boons; dharmic communication is portrayed as power-bearing, not merely ornamental.
Vaṃśānucarita context (royal episode) that directly supports Manvantara material by introducing the future Manu through prophecy.
Speech sanctified by auspicious intent is treated as a creative force that ‘fixes’ destiny—an echo of vāṅmaya potency in Purāṇic narrative.
