Adhyaya 70 — The King Confronts the Rakshasa and Restores the Brahmin’s Wife
नास्य दोषो न वा तस्य मम भर्तुर्महात्मनः ।
ममैव दोषो नान्यस्य सुकृतं ह्युपभुज्यते ॥
nāsya doṣo na vā tasya mama bhartur mahātmanaḥ |
mamaiva doṣo nānyasya sukṛtaṃ hy upabhujyate ||
«ໃນເຂົາບໍ່ມີຄວາມຜິດ—ແລະໃນຜົວຜູ້ມີໃຈຍິ່ງໃຫຍ່ຂອງຂ້າກໍບໍ່ມີຄວາມຜິດ. ຄວາມຜິດເປັນຂອງຂ້າແຕ່ຜູ້ດຽວ ບໍ່ແມ່ນຂອງຜູ້ອື່ນ; ເພາະບຸນ (ແລະຜົນຂອງມັນ) ຍ່ອມຖືກເສວຍໂດຍຜູ້ທີ່ໄດ້ເຮັດມັນແທ້ໆ»។

The verse articulates moral accountability: one should not displace blame onto others when consequences arise from one’s own conduct. It also reiterates the karmic principle that the doer is the experiencer of results.
