Adhyaya 61 — The Second Manvantara Begins: The Brahmin’s Swift Journey and Varuthini’s Temptation on Himavat
ब्राह्मण उवाच अष्टावात्मगुणा ये हि तेषामादौ दया द्विज ।
तां करोṣi कथं न त्वं मयि सद्धर्मपालक ॥
brāhmaṇa uvāca aṣṭāv ātma-guṇā ye hi teṣām ādau dayā dvija | tāṃ karoṣi kathaṃ na tvaṃ mayi saddharma-pālaka ||
ພຣາຫມັນ ກ່າວວ່າ: «ໃນຄຸນລັກສະນະທັງແປດຂອງອັດຕາ, ຄວາມເມດຕາກະລຸນາເປັນສິ່ງສູງສຸດ, ໂອ ທະວິຊະ (ຜູ້ເກີດສອງຄັ້ງ). ເຈົ້າຜູ້ອ້າງວ່າຮັກສາທຳມະອັນແທ້, ເປັນຫຍັງຈຶ່ງບໍ່ສະແດງກະລຸນານັ້ນຕໍ່ຂ້ອຍ?»
