पत्तनानि च रम्याणि स्फीतानि नगराणि च | रत्नानि च विचित्राणि पश्यन्नपि न पश्यति

Transliteration

paṭṭanāni ca ramyāṇi sphītāni nagarāṇi ca | ratnāni ca vicitrāṇi paśyann api na paśyati |

Translation

ພີສະມະ ກ່າວວ່າ: ແມ່ນແຕ່ເມືອງນ້ອຍງາມໆ ແລະ ນະຄອນທີ່ຮຸ່ງເຮືອງປາກົດຕໍ່ໜ້າ, ແມ່ນແຕ່ອັນມະນີລ້ໍາຄ່າຫຼາກຫຼາຍອັນນ່າພິສູດປາກົດຕໍ່ຕາ, ເຂົາກໍເບິ່ງມັນດັ່ງບໍ່ເບິ່ງ. ຄໍາກ່າວນີ້ຊີ້ໃຫ້ເຫັນອຸດົມຄະຕິແຫ່ງຄວາມບໍ່ຍຶດຕິດພາຍໃນ: ເມື່ອໃຈຕັ້ງຢູ່ໃນການສະຫຼະ, ຄວາມສະຫງ່າງາມພາຍນອກກໍບໍ່ອາດກະຕຸ້ນຄວາມຢາກ ຫຼື ການວອກແວກໄດ້.
