भीष्म उवाच
Bhishma identifies the Supreme Brahman as the liberating reality: attaining it ends return to repeated worldly existence. He further frames it as the ‘twenty-fifth’ principle, aligning the teaching with a tattva-based (Sāṅkhya-like) enumeration recognized by the highest sages.
In the Śānti Parva’s instruction to Yudhiṣṭhira, Bhishma continues a philosophical exposition on ultimate reality and liberation, citing the authority of great seers and presenting Brahman as the final goal beyond rebirth.
