मेघाविव यथोद्वृत्तौ दक्षिणोत्तरवर्षिणौ । शरतोयै: सिषिचतुस्तौ परस्परमाहवे
meghāv iva yathodvṛttau dakṣiṇottaravarṣiṇau | śaratoyaiḥ siṣicatūs tau parasparam āhave ||
ສັນຊະຍະ ກ່າວວ່າ: ດັ່ງເມກຝົນສອງກ້ອນທີ່ຜຸດຂຶ້ນສູງ—ກ້ອນໜຶ່ງຮົ່ມຝົນຈາກທິດໃຕ້ ແລະອີກກ້ອນໜຶ່ງຈາກທິດເໜືອ—ນັກຮົບທັງສອງໄດ້ຊຸມຊ່ຳກັນໃນສົງຄາມ ດ້ວຍສາຍ “ນ້ຳລູກສອນ” ທີ່ສາດໃສ່ກັນບໍ່ຂາດ.
संजय उवाच
The verse offers a poetic lens on warfare: when two evenly matched fighters clash, their actions become like natural forces—unstoppable and mutually destructive—highlighting the overwhelming, storm-like character of battle rather than personal triumph.
Sanjaya describes two combatants locked in direct combat, each showering the other with volleys of arrows, compared to two great rain-clouds pouring from opposite directions.
