ते जघ्नुस्तौ महेष्वासौ ताभ्यां मुक्तांश्व सायकान् | विचेरुराकाशगता: पार्थबाणविदारिता:
te jaghnus tau maheṣvāsau tābhyāṁ muktāṁś ca sāyakān | vicerur ākāśagatāḥ pārthabāṇavidāritāḥ ||

Even amid war, mastery and alertness can be used to prevent harm: Arjuna’s skill is shown as defensive superiority—neutralizing incoming weapons before they can strike, aligning prowess with the duty to protect one’s side in a dharma-oriented battle.
Two mighty archers engage in an exchange of missiles; Arjuna’s arrows intercept and shatter the opponents’ arrows in mid-air, so the broken shafts scatter through the sky instead of reaching their targets.
