Educational Q&A

Speech should be aligned with dharma—measured, disciplined, and ethically grounded—like the counsel of an ascetic sage or a strict-vowed Brahmin who restrains the impulse to punish and speaks from moral clarity.

Sanjaya addresses Arjuna (Partha), praising his words as dharma-consistent. He compares Arjuna’s speech to that of forest-dwelling sages and self-restrained Brahmins, highlighting the moral tone of Arjuna’s counsel amid the tensions of the war narrative.
