Puṣkara-Śapatha Itihāsa (Agastya–Indra Dispute at the Tīrthas) | पुष्कर-शपथ-आख्यानम्
गौतम उवाच गोदमो दमतो<5धूमो5दमस्ते समदर्शनात् । विद्धि मां गौतमं कृत्ये यातुधानि निबोध माम्
gautama uvāca | godamo damato dhūmo 'damas te samadarśanāt | viddhi māṃ gautamaṃ kṛtye yātudhāni nibodha mām ||
ໂກຕະມະ ກ່າວວ່າ: «ໂອ ກຣິຕະຍາ! ເພາະຂ້ອຍໄດ້ຝຶກຝົນການຂົ່ມຄວບຄຸມ ‘ໂກ’—ຄືອິນຊີທັງຫຼາຍ—ດ້ວຍຄວາມສຳລວມ, ຂ້ອຍຈຶ່ງຖືກເອີ້ນວ່າ ໂກດະມະ. ຂ້ອຍຮຸ່ງເຮືອງດັ່ງໄຟທີ່ບໍ່ມີຄວັນ, ສະຫວ່າງໄສບໍ່ຖືກບັງ. ເພາະຂ້ອຍເບິ່ງທຸກສິ່ງດ້ວຍສາຍຕາເທົ່າທຽມ, ເຈົ້າຈຶ່ງບໍ່ອາດຂົ່ມຂ້ອຍໄດ້—ແລະຜູ້ໃດກໍບໍ່ອາດ. ຈົ່ງຮູ້ຂ້ອຍ, ໂອ ກຣິຕະຍາ, ວ່າເປັນ ໂກຕະມະ; ແລະຈົ່ງເຂົ້າໃຈຂ້ອຍ, ໂອ ຍາຕຸທານີ.»
