विश्वामित्र उवाच
Freedom from constant anxiety over provisions (food and fuel) is presented as a mark of ease and contentment; the verse contrasts the burden of continual planning with a life that is untroubled by such worries.
Jamadagni comments that, unlike their own situation where they must think year-round about securing food and firewood, the person being referred to has no such concern; as a result, he has become well-fed—‘plump’—even in the company of a dog.
