Mataṅga–Śakra Dialogue on Tapas, Status, and Moral Qualities
दक्षां पृश्चिं बृहतीं विप्रकृष्टां शिवामृद्धां भागिनीं सुप्रसन्नाम् । विभावरीं सर्वभूतप्रतिष्ठां गड़्ां गता ये त्रिदिवं गतास्ते
dakṣāṃ pṛśniṃ bṛhatīṃ viprakṛṣṭāṃ śivām ṛddhāṃ bhāginīṃ suprasannām | vibhāvarīṃ sarvabhūtapratiṣṭhāṃ gaṅgāṃ gatā ye tridivaṃ gatās te ||
ສິດທະກ່າວວ່າ: “ຄົງຄາແມ່ນທິດາຂອງທັກຊະ, ເປັນນ້ອງສາວຂອງປຣິສນີ—ຍິ່ງໃຫຍ່, ສູງສົ່ງ, ມົງຄຸນ, ແລະອຸດົມດ້ວຍບຸນ. ນາງເມດຕາຕໍ່ຜູ້ບູຊາຢ່າງຍິ່ງ ແລະມີສິຣິມົງຄຸນ ເພາະພຣະສິວະທຣົງຮັບນາງໄວ້ເທິງພຣະເສົາ. ເພື່ອທຳລາຍບາບ ນາງດຸດດັ່ງຄືນແຫ່ງການລະລາຍ, ແລະເປັນທີ່ພຶ່ງພາພິງອັນມັ່ນຄົງຂອງສັດທັງປວງ. ຜູ້ໃດຂໍພຶ່ງພາຄົງຄາ ຜູ້ນັ້ນຍ່ອມໄປສູ່ໂລກສະຫວັນ.”
सिद्ध उवाच
Taking refuge in sacred, dharma-aligned sources of purification—here personified as Gaṅgā—destroys sin and leads to spiritual uplift, expressed as attaining heavenly realms; devotion and surrender are presented as ethically transformative.
A Siddha extols Gaṅgā with a chain of epithets: her divine lineage and relations, her auspicious and merit-filled nature, her special sanctity through Śiva’s bearing her, her power to annihilate sin, and the promised fruit that those who seek her refuge reach heaven.
