Mataṅga–Śakra Dialogue on Tapas, Status, and Moral Qualities

अन्रिर्वसिष्ठो5थ भृगुः पुलस्त्य: पुलह:ः क्रतुः । अज्धिरागौतमोडगस्त्य: सुमति: सुयतात्मवान्‌

Vaiśampāyana uvāca: atrir vasiṣṭho 'tha bhṛguḥ pulastyaḥ pulahaḥ kratuḥ | aṅgirā gautamo 'gastyaḥ sumatiḥ suyātātmavān ||

ໄວສັມປາຍະນະ ກ່າວວ່າ: “ນີ້ແມ່ນບັນດາດຸລະຊີ—ອະຕຣິ, ວະສິດຖະ, ພຣຶກຸ, ປຸລັສຕະຍະ, ປຸລະຫະ, ກຣະຕຸ, ອັງຄິຣະສ, ໂກຕະມະ, ອະກັສຕະຍະ, ແລະ ສຸມະຕິ ຜູ້ມີຕົນອັນສຳລວມດີ.” ໃນບໍລິບົດ ຂໍ້ນີ້ເປັນການເລີ່ມຕົ້ນບັນຊີລາຍນາມອັນນ່າເຄົາລົບຂອງຣິສີຜູ້ຍິ່ງໃຫຍ່ ນຳເສີນພວກທ່ານເປັນແບບຢ່າງແຫ່ງວິໄນ ແລະອຳນາດທາງຈິດວິນຍານ ເພື່ອວາງຖານໃຫ້ຄຳສອນເລື່ອງທັມມະຢູ່ໃນສາຍສືບທີ່ຄວນເຄົາລົບ.
