अजड्रिय उवाच
External rites (like bathing at a tīrtha) bear fruit chiefly when joined with inner discipline—sense-restraint and steady concentration. With such mental and ethical preparation, even a short observance can yield the same ‘siddhi’ as a long one.
Ajadriya is describing the efficacy of a particular sacred practice connected with Jambūmārga, emphasizing that the duration (three months versus one day-and-night) is secondary to the practitioner’s self-control and focused mind.
