भीष्म उवाच अष्टावक्रोडन्वपृच्छत्‌ तां रूपं विकुरुषे कथम्‌ | नचानृतं ते वक्तव्यं ब्रूहि ब्राह्मणगकाम्यया

bhīṣma uvāca: aṣṭāvakro ’nvapṛcchat tāṃ rūpaṃ vikuruṣe katham | na cānṛtaṃ te vaktavyaṃ brūhi brāhmaṇagakāmyayā ||

ພີສະມະກ່າວວ່າ: ອັດຖາວະກຣະໄດ້ຖາມນາງນັ້ນວ່າ «ເປັນຫຍັງເຈົ້າຈຶ່ງປ່ຽນຮູບຮ່າງຢູ່ເລື້ອຍໆ? ແລະຖ້າເຈົ້າປາຖະໜາການນັບຖື ແລະການຍອມຮັບຈາກຄົນເຊັ່ນຂ້າ—ຜູ້ເປັນພຣາຫມັນ—ເຈົ້າຢ່າເວົ້າຄຳມຸສາ; ຈົ່ງບອກຄວາມຈິງ»។
