अध्याय १६ — शङ्कर-उमा-वरदानम् तथा तण्डि-स्तुतिः (Śaṅkara–Umā Boon-Granting and Taṇḍi’s Hymn)
यानि च प्रथितान्यादौ तण्डिराख्यातवान् मम । नामानि मानवश्रेष्ठ तानि त्वं शृणु सिद्धये
yāni ca prathitāny ādau taṇḍir ākhyātavān mama | nāmāni mānavaśreṣṭha tāni tvaṃ śṛṇu siddhaye ||
ວາຍຸກ່າວວ່າ: “ໂອ ຜູ້ເປັນເລີດໃນມະນຸດ, ຈົ່ງຟັງເພື່ອຄວາມສຳເລັດຂອງເຈົ້າ ນາມທັງຫຼາຍທີ່ໂດງດັງມາແຕ່ປະຖົມການ—ນາມທີ່ິສີຕັນດິເຄີຍເລົ່າໃຫ້ຂ້ອຍຟັງ. ການໄດ້ຟັງນາມເຫຼົ່ານັ້ນ ກ່າວກັນວ່າໃຫ້ຄວາມສຳເລັດທາງຈິດວິນຍານ.”
