गन्धर्व उवाच
Unchecked desire (kāma) can overpower even a king, causing loss of composure; yet compassionate intervention—likened to a father’s care—restores dignity and steadiness, implying the ethical need for self-control and supportive guidance.
A Gandharva physically lifts the king up from the ground after he has collapsed in a swoon due to passion and delusion, treating him with paternal tenderness and thereby easing the worry of those attending him.
