FAQs

It presents the Lord as the universal source of manifestation—nothing exists that is not “arisen” through him—supporting the Purāṇic view of one Ishvara whose power makes all names and forms appear.

The verse models bhakti as a yogic discipline: humble offering (bhikṣā) and contemplation of the Lord as the cause of all manifestation, which aligns with Pāśupata-oriented devotion and Ishvara-centric meditation found across the Kurma Purana’s spiritual teaching.

By treating Tripuramardana as the all-manifesting Lord, it reflects the Kurma Purana’s synthetic theology where the supreme Ishvara can be praised as Shiva while remaining consistent with Vishnu-centered narration elsewhere—emphasizing functional unity rather than sectarian separation.
