इति श्रीकूर्मपुराणे षट्साहस्त्र्यां संहितायां पूर्वविभागे द्वादशो ऽध्यायः सूत उवाच प्रियव्रतोत्तानपादौ मनोः स्वायंभुवस्य तु / धर्मज्ञौ सुमहावीर्यौ शतरूपा व्यजीजनत्
iti śrīkūrmapurāṇe ṣaṭsāhastryāṃ saṃhitāyāṃ pūrvavibhāge dvādaśo 'dhyāyaḥ sūta uvāca priyavratottānapādau manoḥ svāyaṃbhuvasya tu / dharmajñau sumahāvīryau śatarūpā vyajījanat
ດັ່ງນີ້ ໃນ «ສີຣີກູຣະມະປຸຣານະ» ໃນ «ສັດສາຫັດສະຣີ ສັມຫິຕາ» ໃນ «ປູຣະວະພາກະ» ບົດທີ 12 ຈຶ່ງສິ້ນສຸດ. ສູຕະກ່າວວ່າ: ຈາກ ສະວາຍັມພູວະ ມະນຸ ນັ້ນ ສະຕະຣູປາ ໄດ້ໃຫ້ກຳເນີດ ປຣິຍະວຣະຕະ ແລະ ອຸຕຕານະປາດະ—ທັງສອງເປັນຜູ້ຮູ້ທັນທຳມະ ແລະມີວິລະພະລັງອັນໃຫຍ່.
