Concept: Vidyā is presented in two modes: saprapañca (engaged with the world of names and forms) and niṣprapañca (transcending conceptual proliferation). The Purāṇa integrates both as a graded path.
Application: Adopt a staged reading: (1) saprapañca—ethics, rites, arts, governance, health; (2) niṣprapañca—dispassion, inquiry into Akṣara/Brahman; treat applied knowledge as preparatory purification (citta-śuddhi).
Khanda Section: Purana-Mahatmya (Textual Glory & Phalaśruti) / Agneya-vidyā (Brahma-rūpa Purāṇa as dual knowledge)

Secondary Rasa: shanta
Visual Art Cues: {"scene_description":"A transition colophon scene: the end of ‘Yama-gītā’ chapter and the beginning of ‘Agni Purāṇa-māhātmya’; Agni proclaims the Purāṇa as Brahman-formed and twofold—manifest and transcendent knowledge—symbolized by a split tableau of worldly arts and a luminous void.","kerala_mural_prompt":"Kerala mural: Agni at center holding a palm-leaf manuscript; left panel shows saprapañca—temple, healer, archer, poet; right panel shows niṣprapañca—radiant empty mandala/white lotus; bold outlines, earthy reds and yellows.","tanjore_prompt":"Tanjore: Agni with heavy gold halo; manuscript titled ‘Agneya’; two registers—lower with worldly disciplines (medicine jars, bow, temple plan), upper with a gold-embossed abstract Brahman light; ornate borders.","mysore_prompt":"Mysore: diagrammatic split composition labeled saprapañca/niṣprapañca; Agni as instructor; fine detailing and soft colors; emphasize the ‘twofold curriculum’ feel.","mughal_miniature_prompt":"Mughal miniature: scholarly assembly with Agni teaching; margins filled with vignettes of arts and sciences; background fades into pale wash representing niṣprapañca; meticulous manuscript illumination aesthetics."}

Related Themes: Agni Purana 382 (vidyā enumeration continues in 382.2–382.4); Agni Purana 381 (Yama-gītā as niṣprapañca-oriented teaching)
It frames the Agni Purāṇa as a repository of two complementary knowledges: practical, world-inclusive instruction (saprapañca—dharma, rites, worldly disciplines) and world-transcending instruction (niṣprapañca—liberating knowledge oriented to Brahman).
By explicitly defining the text as ‘vidyā-dvaya-maya’ (made of two domains), it legitimizes the Purāṇa’s breadth—covering both applied subjects (ritual, governance, arts, sciences) and metaphysical teaching (liberation-oriented Brahman-knowledge).
It positions the Purāṇa as Brahman-oriented teaching: engaging in its world-guiding disciplines supports dharma, while its niṣprapañca dimension points to inner detachment and liberation, aligning karma with spiritual realization.
