FAQs

It gives Vṛkṣāyurveda-style horticultural guidance: irrigating trees with fish-infused water and using organic additives (powdered sheep/goat dung, barley powder, and sesame) to stimulate growth.

Alongside theology and ritual, the Agni Purana preserves practical applied knowledge—here, agronomy/plant-care—showing it functions as a compendium of sciences, including traditional fertilization and irrigation methods.

Supporting tree growth aligns with dharmic ideals of nurturing life and sustaining resources; in Purāṇic ethics, caring for trees is a meritorious act that promotes welfare (lokasaṃgraha) and non-harm through sustainable cultivation.
