Related Themes: Agni Purana 279 (svapna and prakṛti; guṇa mention)
It gives an Ayurvedic diagnostic cue: seeing pure water in a dream is presented as an indicator of Kapha-prakṛti, and it frames dream-signs within the guṇa taxonomy (sattva/rajas/tamas).
By embedding Ayurvedic psychology/physiology (doṣa-prakṛti) and Sāṃkhya-style guṇa classification into a Purāṇic chapter on dream-signs, it exemplifies the text’s cross-disciplinary catalog of knowledge.
It encourages self-knowledge and discernment: interpreting inner experiences (dreams) through doṣas and guṇas supports purification of conduct by recognizing tamasic/rajasic/sattvic tendencies and cultivating sāttvika balance.
